Volks Japan Inc has updated their Dollfie Dream page and now features the next release from Touhou characters, Izayoi Sakuya, with the new Dollfie Dream Type III body. They’ve also uploaded some beautiful shots of her.
She’ll be available at Volks’ Home Town Dollpa Kobe at the end of the month along with a DDIII version of Moe from the Akihabara After School image characters of Volks. My guess is, just like other event exclusive DD’s, they would both be requiring lottery entries.
This July is certainly a doll-centric month for me. As per my annual visit to the Fragrant Harbor, I figured I’d schedule this year’s visit to coincide with the annual doll exhibit, Dollism Plus, happening on the 17th July, 2011 at the Kowloon Bay International Trade and Exhibition Centre (九龍灣國際展貿中心).
During my last visit in November 2010, I got to spend an evening with the HK doll-folk. A fun bunch they are and very accommodating, also a very good reminder for me to brush up on my Mandarin. T’was nice to be able to put a face to the ‘Tweetah’ names having been able to meet @Quentinlau and @Stepswalker. Looking forward to this year’s Dollism, I’ll be meeting the rest of the HK doll community. I also understand that a large group of SG Doll folk as well as some from BKK will also be arriving. This is going to be quite a big get together. Aside from Yasuko and Mikuru, thankfully, I won’t be alone in representing the budding doll community of the Philippines. Continue reading

These past few days have been on the damp side with some spots of sunshine. But other than that, it’s mostly been raining in the afternoon. Sometimes, the rain would be nothing more than a shower. At times, it would go on for 2 days straight.
Personally, I like the rain. Not just that it cools the air but when I get to walk under it on my home, it feels refreshing. As if my worries and stresses are, for a moment, cleansed.
Well then, enough chit chat and to some lovely ladies in our favorite leg fashion enjoying the wet weather.

The Youkai of Boundaries
One of the few PVC figures that I’ve recently acquired. 1/8 PVC of Yukari Yakumo from the Touhou project by Kotobukiya. I actually missed her Pre-order period, luckily some left overs popped up in Play-asia.com after the she was released.
She came out at roughly twice the price as she was at Amiami. Luckily I had some Christmas coupons on hand, got to use the $12 discount AND my affiliate dollars. Covered the EMS shipping which was a decent amount of savings.
Everything about her is just lovely. I just have one gripe about her. The PVC is TOO DAMN SOFT. Given a few seconds, her parasol would drop down to her shoulders making her right wrist look like she has a bad case of Carpal Tunnel.
