When I first heard of Drum Tao, it was during the height of my playing the game Osu! Tatakae! Ouen Dan! A Taiko Drum Rhythm game for the Nintendo DS. Ever since, then I have watched several videos of their performances on Youtube. Continue reading
So you think you can run? Well, in my opinion, you don’t know what it is to run until you’ve run for your life. More so if you’re being chased by zombies. Yes, zombies, baby.
Outbreak Manila organizes fun runs (read: marathons) with a twist. Instead of participants having to go through perilous obstacles and challenges, they are given a glimpse of what it’s like to survive a zombie apocalypse
Last April, Outbreak Manila held it’s first run at Nuvali in Sta. Rosa, Laguna where survivors got to live another day and the slow and hapless were, well, eaten by flesh eating zombies. This tinme on July 28, 2012, zombies will roam the streets of Bonifacio Global City ready to pounce on unsuspecting marathon runners.
Registration opened yesterday, June 23, 2012 and is open to those who want to either be a survivor/runner or zombies. Yes, you have the option to be a ZOMBIE. How cool is that? Also, being a seasoned marathon runner is optional. Just as wearing your Storm Trooper armour or that vinyl Catwoman costume is optional, but I would highly recommend it as I think they’re giving out recognitions for the crazy outfits there. If you’re gonna be going as one of the L4D characters though, I’d recommend leaving that shotgun at home, as weapons of any sort are prohibited. They never said anything about Sith powers though.
So, if you think you’re up to the challenge of surviving the zombie apoclaypse, mozy on over to Outbreak Manila and register!! And to give you a good idea of what you’ll have to deal with, here’s a trailer of what to expect.

Last May 27, 2012, Digital Photography Philippines (DPP) celebrated their 6th year anniversary at the Bonifacio High Street grounds. They brought in some of the top names in the photography industry as well as renowned marques for every level of photo hobbyist.
Hot cars, Beautiful women, bad lighting and sweaty, stinky “photo-gropers”.
Yeah, that was the scene at the recently capped Trans Sport Show 2012 held at the Mega Trade Hall at the SM Megamall on April 22, 2012.
Compared to the Manila Int’l Autoshow held last March, Trans Sport Show was more about tuner and car culture than automotive pedigree. Eye candy was the name of the game. Photography and car enthusiasts came in droves. It’s no surprise as various automotive accessory shops jostle for the most popular models out there to draw crowds. Not that I’m complaining but the cars on display just played second fiddle to their equally stunning promotions girls.
Love this girl! Never stopped smiling for the cameras one bit.
I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again. Events girls are such troopers and I have to commend and thank them for being ever so patient of my fellow photographers for their lecherous stares, a cocktail of various body odour and poking tripods. As I’ve mentioned before in my Ozine post a few years back, these girls end up standing for most of the day with barely enough time to eat, clad in their stilettos and colourful skimpy promo suits (if you could call a matching pair of torn shirts and jean shorts a suit). So, to my fellow photo brothers, keep in mind that the very subjects we jostle to get that one shot of at every event make an effort to look good for our lenses. Would it hurt you to bathe, put on some deodorant and at least look a fraction as presentable as they do. Trust me, you’ll thank me for it, and I’m sure they’ll be more welcoming as you hobble for their attention. It’s bad enough they have to put up with salacious cellphone cam toting folks shoving their 3 MP phone cams up their skirts, don’t make them endure natural pungent tear gas.
Mr. Ridiculously Photogenic guy tip: Stay fresh at these events, the models will thank you for it. Trust me.
Anywho, end rant, follow the link for the photos over at Multiply page
What was merely a suggestion to meet up with some fellow local ABJD enthusiasts became a scheduled Mini meet which ended up with the commandeering of Pancake House at Bonifacio High last January 14, 2012.
Just found out about this recently as I did my nightly rounds going over the blogs I followed. Seems like DLSU Manila will be hosting the Manila blogosphere’s 2nd congress this October 15’2011 at Yuchengco building lobby in DLSU’s Taft Manila campus .With notable guest bloggers, I’ll take what I can as I sink my feet deep into blogging.
Pre-registration ended October 10’2011 but I’m not sure if they’re gonna allow walk-ins (it is going be held in a university after all). Registration starts at 11:30am with the event happening from 12:30 to 6pm.
