Social Networking Etiquette for Filipinos

If you’re a Filipino and you spend every waking minute of your day on Twitter, Facebook or every other social networking site on the interwebz, then I highly suggest you take a minute and watch Lourd de Vera’s video about online etiquette.

Trust me, if you have enough grey matter to be able to put a photo of a dead toe nail on facebook, or tweet about how depressed you are because your goldfish died, this video won’t bore to death and definitely appeal to you.  Seriously, do yourself a favor and watch this before you humiliate your self by uploading a video of you popping a zit on your nose on Youtube.

So you got to go on your Japan pilgrimage, went around Akihabara and shopped to your hearts content or as your savings allows you to.  But you still got some time left and don’t know what to do.  Then why not drift on over to the Pop Life Department.m’s Shop.  In a nut shell, it’s a sex shop or more appropriateley, a “sex mall”.  But it’s not to be compared with Singapore’s 4 floors of, um, exotics.

Exploring the Art of Japanese Comics.

Spotted over at Azrael’s Merryland , The Ayala Museum and Japan Foundation of the Philippines come together to give the general public a look into Japanese Pop culture’s world of Manga as illustrated by some of the top artists in the manga scene.

Exhibit runs from August 16 to October 2, 2011 to be held at the Ayala Museum.  I figure this is the ideal venue to get some first hand background info about the phenom that is Japanese Manga that we fill our time.

SH Figuarts Godzilla by Bandai

GAAAAAOOOOOO~! At long last!! A reasonably priced and well detailed figure of the Big G!

Preorders just went up on Ami-ami!!

Thank you Bandai! I have been salivating for the king monsters ever since production models came out.

As is all SH Figuarts figures, the Big G is fully articulated right down to the tail.  From initial photos of what I’ve seen, I’m guessing this would be slightly larger than similar Sci-fi action figures from Revoltech, have also started their own Godzilla line with the release of Angairus and Mothra earlier this year.  Bandai shot ahead and just went in for the kill by releasing Godzilla and Mecha Godzilla.  One thing I’m eager to see as a poseable action figure is King Ghidora.

But with Bandai usurping the release of this beauty, Kaiyodo may still just have one up on the former by putting a 1/80 scale Vinyl model of Godzilla.  This however commands a wee bit more than the 3000+Jpy asking price of the SH Monster arts figures.  I mean just look at the size of that thing!
