Whenever myself or the family wants some time off or just wants to get away from the city, our first choice for a quick destination out of town is Tagaytay. It’s about an hour and half’s drive from the city with good grub all around and nice scenery to boot.
Wiki mode: Tagaytay is a second class city in the province of Cavite, Philippines. Only 55 km (34 mi) away from Manila via Aguinaldo Highway, it is one of the country’s most popular tourist destinations. Tagaytay City provides a good view of the Taal Volcano. The city is a popular summer tourist destination because of its cool climate due to its high altitude.
One of our popular destinations there is the “Tagaytay Highlands”. Tagaytay Highlands is an exclusive recreational and residential complex. The area is very private and not much visitors go up there unless it’s tourist season. Very ideal for some doll photography with very little disturbance.
Another reason why it’s a popular destination for both international and local tourists is that being a mountain top town, temperatures are relatively cooler than that in the city. Averages all year are about 5-10*C cooler than that of the city.
